Returns and cancellations

Returns on Haan depend on the product, the seller, and the reason for the return. Nothing on this page limits any rights you may have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act and, where applicable, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Change-of-mind returns

Haan may allow change-of-mind returns on eligible items if the item is unused, in its original condition, and returned within the stated window for that listing or seller.

Some items may not qualify for a change-of-mind return, including where allowed by law:

  • clearly personalised or custom-made goods,
  • perishable goods,
  • sealed hygiene goods once opened,
  • goods that cannot reasonably be resold for health, safety, or preservation reasons.

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect goods

If goods are faulty, unsafe, not as described, materially different from what you ordered, or arrive damaged, you should contact Haan support promptly. Depending on the circumstances and the law, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, refund, or another appropriate remedy.

For fragile or damaged deliveries, keep the packaging and send photos where possible.

Order cancellation before dispatch

Orders can sometimes be cancelled before dispatch, but that depends on how quickly the seller begins production or packing, whether the product is personalised, and whether any part of the order has already been fulfilled.

If you need to cancel, contact Haan as soon as possible after ordering. If a cancellation cannot be accepted, Haan will explain the next available return or refund route.

Refund timing

Approved refunds are typically returned to the original payment method unless another lawful refund method is agreed. Timing depends on the payment provider and your bank.

Where Haan is merchant of record for checkout, refund processing is handled at the platform level even though the goods may have been supplied by a seller.
